Answers - How can I order a MegaPlot machine?
You can send your order either via e-mail (office@megaplot.com.pl) or fax (+48 32 291 08 72). When ordering please make sure to include your company full name and address as well as the contact person and phone number. - What is the lead time for a MegaPlot machine?
App. 4 weeks, although in urgent cases we can complete the order within 14 days. - What are the acceptable payment methods?
When purchasing directly from MegaPlot, there are two available payment methods: a money transfer to our account prior to shipment, or a Letter of Credit (L/C). - What is included in the price of the machine?
In the case of foam cutters: foam cutter, electronic controller, a 100-gram spool of wire, FoamShaper controlling software, assembly manual, operational manual, 5-year warranty <details>.
In the case of CNC Routers: the router, electronic controller, MegaCut 2D controlling software, MegaCut 3D (XMC series only), operational manual, 1-year warranty <details>.
- What is not included in the price?
FoamCutters: a PC with a free serial port (USB for some models), graphics software with HPGL.plt or dxf export (CorelDraw, AutoCAD, etc.).
CNC Routers: a PC with a USB port, gtaphics software with HPGL.plt, dxf or G-Code export, 3D software supporting the RAW format (for MegaCut 3D, XMC series only).
- What is the warranty for MegaPlot machines?
All foam cutters are covered with a 5-year warranty <details>, and all CNC Routers with 1-year warranty <details>.
- Whom do I contact when servicing is required?
Either the distributor you purchased the machine from, or MegaPlot - if you purchased directly from us.
- Whose responsible for the machine during the freight?
If we organize the shipment, we take full responsibility for any damages that may happen during the freight.
- Whom do I contact for technical support?
You can count on us no matter what the problem is. Just send us an e-mail or give us a call and we will do all we can to solve the problem asap. When sending an e-mail with a technical question or a drawing problem, please make sure to include as much information as possible: info on the machine, software version, sertial number, installation date, your location, etc.
- How durable is the resistant cutting wire in foam cutters?
The standard NiCr wire needs to be changed every 5-10 hours of cutting. The TitaniumAlloy wire needs replacing every 40-50 hours. Note: the durability of the wire strongly depends on the cutting parameters you set. The higher the temperature, the shorter the lifespan of the wire.
- Are there any other parts which might need replacing?
No. The only thing you will have to replace from time to time is the cutting wire.
- What maintenance do the foam cutters require?
Our foam cutters do not require any special maintenance. We do suggest though that you clean the running tracks with a dry soft cloth once a year or so. The machine requires no lubrication.
